2 million photos in Panoramio

Only three months ago we announced that Panoramio had reached one million photos. Today I am very happy to write that the number of photos has doubled and reached 2 million. As usual the quality of the photos uploaded by the community is outstanding. Thanks for sharing, ¡mil gracias!

  2. i've noticed that the latest version of Panoramio layer has been uploaded to Google Earth database. how old is this layer (i.e. from which date)?

    additionally Panoramio layer has been combined with Wikipedia and others in the solid Geographic web layer. so now you can't turn the Panoramio one off (to use kml from your site) and watch the latest updates wikipedia stuff :(

  6. I can imagine that. By the I'm having hell lot of problem putting my photos of my longhouse Punan Sama, Belaga on the Google Earth. Hope you can help with it. Here the coordinate 2 28 34.94, 113 31 06.95. Perhaps you can help me with that.

  8. I have placed photos of my building in Glasgow and Tallinn and the photos have not appeared on google earth somehow.

    i can see it when i am on google earth but noone else can.

    any suggestions?

    Recently I integrated the Panoramio API in Map2explore.com and the result improve greatly the website.

    Map2Explore.com is a perfect merge between Google Maps and Google Earth with Geonames.org, Wikipedia.org, Panoramio.com and Microsoft Flight Simulator databases. The GeoNames database contains over 8,000,000 geographical names corresponding to over 6,500,000 unique features, Wikipedia.org contains up to 230,000 articles and now Panoramio.com collection with 2 million of photos. With a special marker (Magic Menu) from Google Maps you can drag it at a location in order to search information about the region like the nearest Wikipedia articles, airports, photos and local geographical features that you can export towards Google Earth to explore the World!

    Saludos apreciados colegas de panoramio, nos encanta poder estar en contacto con Ustedes para hacerles una petición y es la siguiente: a ver si nos pueden incluir nuestras fotos de Loma de Marín, en la busqueda de imagénes de Google.... Se lo agradeseriamos enormemente y quedaríamos muy contentos de ver nuestras graficas allí....... Estamos a su completa disposición........ Muchisimas gracias.

    Todavía conseguimos en Loma de Marín la huella de aquella arquitectura colonial de entonces y, que permanecen erguidas ante los avatares del tiempo.
    Todavía el suelo provee de su rica sabia a la arboleda frutal y maderera; La ardilla y el yaguare junto a la alegre y bullanguera Guacharaca hacen hermoso el paisaje.- El Conoto cruza por Punta de Mosquito como el Avión de las once que, van allí, en seguida, al vibrante aeropuerto del carnaval de Carúpano y, que hace glorias a… José Francisco Bermúdez…
    El Carupanazo del 58 cuentan los viejos de hoy, de bijagual y por la hacienda de Ño Juan que, usó de plataforma a Andrés Mata para enfilar sus baterías artilladas y, mostrar como fuegos artificiales los disparos y cañonazos de aquellas tiempos de entonces; Cuando madres de Guanoquito y Manicuare lloraban a sus hijos ausentes, exponiendo su sangre en los entonces de los cincuentas.

    Allí los bueyes se cansan de tanto andar y andar, igual le pasa a los caballos que giran, giran y vuelven a girar, con su pescuezo de enyugue y la palanca tirando.

    Ven para llevarte conmigo a toda esta maravilla, no me dejes los brazos extendidos, ven para que montes al burro y te sientes en el suelo bajo de la mata de cereza que vino del acurutú.
