Since some minutes ago you can submit your photos uploaded in April to the Panoramio contest. Those photos will have the link "submit to the contest" and can be voted in when they will get the "vote" button.
You can vote for the photos uploaded in March until the end of April. Now photos in the gallery of participants are displayed randomly so you get fresh photos all the time. The winners of photos uploaded in March will be known on May 15th.

ReplyDeleteI submitted some pics last Friday to be place on Goggle earth in my home town. They have not shown up yet can someone tell me how long does it take to have them posted? Or did I do something wrong?
ReplyDeleteTo the webmaster. Are you sure that every vote count? Since a few days, what seems an old bug affects views counters. Will we know the final score after April?

I think when you not limited for Fotos from User -5 to 10- its for everybody -> a Joke !! I want not 200, 300 or more Pages check for one good Picture ? I Think your Server sometime overload !!

It's a great initiative but definitely needs a restriction on the number of shots uploaded by an individual per month. It is too hard to wade through the many average or poor shots to find the ones with merit. Make it 1 only per month per individual!

ReplyDeleteI uploaded some photos a few hours after you posted this blog. I entered three for the contest, I can not find the in the contest for May also the other photos which i uploaded at the same time do not have the submit button anymore now that it is the 1st May.

The Contest is for someone not for the Idea from Panoramio or Google Earth -- Fotos from Landscape - Monuments or nice Places around the World -- but not for thausands Fotos from Familie or own Cars ect !! I have send Coment last Week but not active !! Its a pity !! When everybody only 5 or 10 Pict send for Contest ist enought !! I whant not x-1000 pict look for one good Foto sorry !! And the Counter not work but i think you Know this !! ??

I am not able to find any "submit" button attached to the photos I uploaded and geotagged during the first week of April. How else do I submit the photos please?
ReplyDeleteOnly one pic per person per topic. Otherwise, speaking as a watcher and a voter, NOT as a participant, it becomes impossible to have a look to all the photos and enjoy them. With only one pic, a participant chooses only his/her best.

ReplyDeleteI have to associate my opinion to all the previous ones. Although now and then I do submit some photos to the contest, I gave up LOOKING at the submitted photos, and of course voting them. Simply too much garbage! There are diamonds, but they are too interspersed with unmeaningful shots.
You have to limit the number of submission to one per user, or something like this. And another thing: it is a pity that there is no contest for "old" shots! Some of my preferred shots are there since a lot of time!
Nevertheless, I say as usual: keep up the good work!

ReplyDeleteTal y como te comunique por correo,en las fotos subidas en los últimos días de abril no me aparece el enlace para poder participar en el concurso.Desconozco los motivos aunque,como te comenté,a otros usuarios pude darles mi voto en fotos de los mismos dias y sacadas al mismo tiempo y en el mismo lugar.
Ahora me aparece dicho enlace para las del mes de mayo.

ReplyDeleteI sent an e-mail to your team suggesting that you start a competition with various catagories...well judjing by the response I am overwhelmed! I do agree with the other suggestions that only one photograph per contestant be submitted as there are some seriously bad photographs being submitted and lots of bad ones at that from the same photographer. One participant has posted twenty or so flower photographs under senery...well he might have a fetish for flowers...who knows?
In my initial "competion suggestion e-mail" I suggested that Panaramio approach major camera manurfacturers and get them to sponser prizes and weekly tips but strictly controlled that will limit a panoramio member to view a "Canon Weekly Tips - Page" and NOT be diverted away from Panoramio? Charge these sponsors a fortune!

I don't think it's fair that all the photos I have already posted in the past year,are not eligible for your contest.Should I delete the whole gallery and start over?
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else,there should be only one pic submitted,per person,but with more catagories.There should be a "flag" button for bad photos along with the "vote" button so the flagged photos can be placed at the back of the gallery and the voted ones on the first page.
Any viewers of Google Earth should have a link to submit a "Best of G.E."vote when they see a pic they like.
