We can finally announce the winners of the Panoramio contest of July and also the winners of August. ATP, the sponsor of the contest will contact the winners during the next days in order to send the prizes. Congratulations!
We have automatized the process to select winners, that's why it took us some extra time. The winners of the September contest (that are being voted on in October) will be announced during the first days of November.
As we mention in the rules of the contest, after winning a prize you can't win another prize in a later contest. However some few users that already got a price are submitting their photos again using several different usernames, this behavior is not allowed and can lead to account deletion.

I see that after some days of our congratulations the photo takes a place between "honorable" .
What is going on???? I think it is not so elegant to exchange the winners after the result announcement ...

What is wrong with people? Not content in winning, they are trying to break the rules and the spirit of the competition by entering again. Greed is a sin. I hope that they really will lose their account! Maybe it will teach them a lesson. But I doubt it! Sadly :-(
ReplyDeleteThere is a little confusion among my PAN-pals about the geotagging contest: Is it true that if someone has won once either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, they can't win again?
ReplyDeleteOr can they be announced/listed as winners as many times as they get enough votes - only not receive any more gifts from ATP?
You use the word "PRIZE" both for the actual gifts and for the placements, too, and it is confusing. If you could clarify this we would greatly appreciate it.

But I do have a question: although I have given titles to my pictures, these titles don't appear in the 16er groups. How should I make the correct tags for this purpose?
