No change is needed from you in order to activate this new Panoramio feature as it will appear automatically in your Photo Page, just below the picture that is being visualized.
By clicking on the left and right arrows you will be able to scroll the complete gallery, and if you want to view a specific image in full size or comment on it, just click on the thumbnail to go to that image page.

This launch will happen for 10% of Panoramio users initially and we will ramp it up to 100% during the next days. You can also test the feature here, here, or here.

Thanks Roger, looks like usefull improvement of navigation! :applause:
ReplyDeleteBat... What about problems with EXIF parsing resulting in improper photo mapping? Anything new after 3 monthes? :(
This is a great new way to navigate in Panoramio. I love this new feature. Keep up the good work.

I got it and saw it for the firs time, today. But It did not appear in my own page....
ReplyDelete:(
Something that originally was in the Panoramio photo page finally comes back in a revamped manner. Good work, thank you.

Something more... I think this is a very useful and good tool. I tested it... I am sure that you are walking on a right way....
ReplyDeleteGood luck and thanks for all your good actions...
I agree with Tomas Kohout. Please patch this essential GPS/EXIF bug.
ReplyDeleteI saw it on one user's pages, I was puzzled, because I saw no tool to activate it for myself.
ReplyDeleteNow I know. I like it - it's a great idea!
This is launched to 100% of the users now, so you should all see it below your photos. Thanks for your feedback!
ReplyDeleteI like it very much, seems like a great way to browse a gallery!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Romania, Aalecs.

this new feature doesn't really help, because it's slowing down the performance. now you have to wait for minutes till your preview picture will appear. loading sites including this new feature lasts takes an eternity. it's not an improvement at all. performance now is worse than in the worst times here in panoramio. greetings from austria, w. kury.
ReplyDeleteMolto utile. Complimenti per l'idea!

ReplyDeleteExcellent new feature
ReplyDeleteBrowing "back in time" is by using the left arrow, but before the "Improved Photo Browsing" it was the oposite, to the right. Also, the navigation in the main gallery is also to the right, so I wonder why the inconsistency?!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this new feature Gerard and Team but you have removed the single advance and return arrows which allowed people to sequentiality step though a section of photos. Whereas now it is hit and miss to cover a section of photos. Please could the single move forward and return arrows return.

Great new feature!
ReplyDelete@Aalecs This is due to tech reasons in our back-end. We know it and will fix it later on. thanks.
ReplyDeleteAnother new great thing ,thanks to the team, and i would also ask for the same question as Stephen did,but i already get the answer by Gerard!
ReplyDeletethanks in advance!
regards!

ReplyDeleteTestei e achei mais prático. Pontos para o Panoramio! Saudações a toda Equipe.
ReplyDeleteWow It is very compfrtable to me to explore my favourite photos to world . I think the Panoraio team is working very hard to take Photoes to see in the Google earth.
