Well this is now possible thanks to the new Panoramio Uploader for Android.
This new application available in the Market, allows you to upload pictures to Panoramio on the go. You just need an Android device(*) and some amazing spot!
Uploading is easy, the application seamlessly integrates with the Android experience allowing you to share photos straight from the Camera and Gallery applications.

Mapping is easy, if the photo was taken by a GPS powered device then the location is automatically calculated and the map preview is presented.
If there is no GPS information or in case you need to adjust the location just tap on the map, and you can easily locate your picture.

Finally just upload and enjoy your photos in Panoramio, Google Earth and Google Maps!

Remember all photos uploaded to Panoramio are candidates to be shown in Google Earth and Google Maps. And please let us know as always your opinion in the Panoramio Community Forum
(*) Panoramio Uploader for iPhone also exist
It's really not usefull without bulk upload option.
ReplyDeletePanoramio is great way to push more geo located photos on google map - but it's really painfull to upload them one-by-one.
And it's really simplier to upload batch of photos to picasa and them upload to panoramio - it's too not auto - but really easy to do it's this way.
Wasnt able to find on my 1.6 andriod.
ReplyDeleteDenis Rysev: Bulk upload is not enabled in order to maintain quality. Many people who use Picasa geolocate a whole folder of photos with one location. Batch uploading them would create a mess on Panoramio and Google Earth.
ReplyDeleteHi, I made the application Andropan for Android and I succed to upload my panorama on Panoramio until you changed your http requests as you can see on this page http://www.andro-pan.com/.
ReplyDeleteWith this new Panoramio uploader application is it possible to use an intent from my app to upload the pictures?
thx
Can't find it on android 1.6. This is something i would really enjoy so please fix this!
ReplyDeletePlease add a QR-Code for the app. :)
ReplyDeleteI have tha panoramio uploader from google but it didn't worked ONE SINGLE TIME.
ReplyDeletePlease add native support for Panoramio for "send/share" buttons in all Android - deeper integration android with panoramio & picasa special for gallery and Camera App! Really please!!!
ReplyDeleteMy issues so far, my HTC Wildfire:
ReplyDelete* when uploading, and rotating the phone, it will upload the same picture multiple times.
* when uploading, and switching the off the screen, it will upload the same picture multiple times.
* fresh pictures do not use the geo-location, but after a day or 2, 3, etc, it might work. Until then it will suggest the location where I upload the picture :-(

ReplyDeleteProblem here!
ReplyDeletePictures taken with other camera app(Camera360) don't have location info loaded, although they had the correct GPS info on EXIF. Panoramio app loads my current location instead of picture's location...
using Nexus S 2.3.4 and last version of Panoramio Uploader
ReplyDeleteBIG ISSUE:
ReplyDeleteI (and a lot of others with me) have downloaded the app, but after downloading the app has disappeared. It's not in my application list and I can't open it from Android Market as well (there is no "Open"-button). Check the reviews on the market as well.
I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia with Android 2.4
iPhone app tags the photo with the location you were at when it was upladed. It does not use the Exif data in the JPEG file that the iPhone records when it takes the picture.
ReplyDeleteIf you upload the file from a PC in a browser it reads the Exif data ok.
Doesn't work with my Galaxy Nexus GSM with Jelly bean installed, it crashes on Upload. Please, fix it ASAP!
ReplyDeletesame here. doesen't work with my Galaxy Nexus with ICS´, it crashes already on authentification. please fix. would be a great tool.
