Auto tagging will suggest during the Panoramio upload different tags regarding time and location.
- Time: Auto tagging will suggest a year tag from the EXIF of your photo
- Location: Auto tagging will suggest Country, State/County and City tags following the Latlong data from the EXIF of your photo. If the EXIF does not have Latlong data Auto tagging will suggest those tags when you map the photo. Location tags are suggested in the language you are viewing Panoramio during Upload time.
Remember that tags are also carried over by using the Upload to Panoramio option of Picasa Web Albums. I hope these small options will help you in your Upload process. ReplyDeleteHi there....I've been on Google Earth for years but am new to inserting my own pictures into it. I've done all the logging on and uploaded and placed just 3 photos so far and they seem to have been accepted. Was wondering how long until they show up on Google Earth. Is there a delay while the pics are checked and given the green light? Just wondering because I would like to add a group more and I like that Auto Tagging idea. Thanks for listening.
ReplyDeleteIn this general connection, would it be possible to invite suggestions about location? I have a couple of shots taken along the Rhine that I can't locate with any accuracy, but someone who lived in the place might be able to help. This is distinct from the current 'Suggest a new location' mechanism, which depends on someone's running across the image. It would involve publishing a 'Suggestions Wanted' list.

ReplyDeleteFurthermore I would like a feature that automatically includes the tags ALREADY in the EXIF info... Now I have to copy paste them manually with every single photo!!!
