Winners of Panoramio Contest of December 2010

I thought the First Prize of Travel category of the December contest was a fake photography but it is not. Please check this impressive photo of the Suez canal from

I lived in Vienna for 1 year while studying but I have never seen the Gloriette in Schönbrunn Palace in the same way as d3funovic is showing us in the First Prize of Heritage category:

The way ZEUS74 illustrates the “Salines de Santa Pola” has given him the First Prize of Scenery category:

And the First Prize of Unusual Location category will be for the Golden Sunset captured by Kalin Ranchev in Lexington, KY, USA:

The Panoramio Geotagged Contest rewards each month 28 photos uploaded and selected by the Panoramio Community. The winners of this month will receive a Casio Hybrid-GPS Digital Camera EX-H20G sponsored by Casio so they can keep amazing us with their photos. 3. Gracias.

Without underestimating the winning photos to my own opinion that it is unfortunate that pictures with sufficient merit to be awarded the contest to pass through unnoticed, by the mere fact of not promoted to «legal spam» or not having enough «friends». Do not lose hope that one day change the rules of this contest and actually reward the best photographs. Greetings.

  5. Thanks you **Gerard Sanz** and **ALL** users who voted and visit. The shot of vessel in sand (Ships name Iran Nessa) is real. People who travel by Suez canal can see the picture as it. In some place canal divided to too canals, between the canals is sand dune. If the point of taken shot was under hight point of dune, can see scene as in shot and looking as the ship in desert. It is realy great what can win any users.
